Social Bttrfly ("we", "our", "the app") is a friendship-building app that helps you nurture real-world connections. We take your privacy seriously.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile photo. When you use the app, we store your friendship connections, in-app messages, invitation activity, and referral data.
Your data is used solely to provide the app's features: managing your connections, delivering daily invitations, tracking your streaks and blooms, and enabling in-app messaging. We do not sell your data. We do not serve ads. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage.
The app requests camera access only to scan QR codes when meeting up with friends in person. Photo library access is requested only if you choose to add a profile photo. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose.
With your permission, we send daily reminders to help you stay consistent with your connection-building habits. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your personal data, messages, connections, and profile information will be permanently removed.
Social Bttrfly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app.
